Peace be upon u Q1+2 / In short , irrelevant details help the author in conveying the message , the novel is suposed to carry , to the reader & to depicts a suitable atmosphere sorrounding the events . The effect of this must be seen in the reader' s interaction , whether it is highly appropriate or not . i Q3 / Irony is the technique of saying sth different from what the author means Dickens uses irony as the most interesting way of satirizing the E community at that time because he cannot do so directly according to the patronage problems . We 've discussed this in the last quotation last lecture I hope this is the required & correct answer The answers , I know , are too short as they are presented in the site sorry for coming late dr.i

- hello
Excuse me Dr. can you make the first and the sconed questions more clear Irelevant details are the sections in the novel where the writer diverts to other unimp[ortant elements or stories. They should be regarded as a weakness in the novel but at the same time they shed some light on some good aspects of society. i asked u in the second half of the question about their importance to the overall novel, i mean are they important to the course of the novel?

| MY answer q2 are they important to the course of the novel?? i think the irrelevant details are not v.important in the novel because when the reader reads the novel with excitement, this irrelevant details distract his attention and iterrupt his ideas and he feels that he forgets the previous event he reached to. i don.t know if this correct answer or not...this my opinion it might be different Dr..........what do u think will give us in the exam q llke this i mean the same method you ask q and we answer or u wiil give us only examples?? | |
