Please doctor can you give me the answers of this question:

1-Thedifferent between showing and telling?

Telling:the Author explain him self directly without letting the reader to understand or feel the event by himself
E.x"Hunger and illusage great assistants .."page7
showing:the author explain the event in indirect way and the reader
will understand the event by himself
E.x'Boy,said the gentleman in the high chair,'listen tome. You know you're an orphan I suppose?'..page 8 he is showing us the illusage to Oliver

Telling: is the direct commentary of the novelist on some of the events or characters. It is not a good thing in a novel. Examples are many like the quoptation we had at the end of the last lecture on p 9 .

Showing is the opposite. It also needs objectivity or detachment from the writer. He shouldnt at all give us his view all the time, rather, he is supposed to give us the whole scene, the details, and we as readers will judge for ourselves. A good example is when Oliver is shown as so hungry that he asks for more, and his colleagues as also so hungry that one of them offers to eat him up if he doesnt ask for more.
